Skeetersoft,
Inc. presents
the FAST baseball card set and computer disks.
FAST – "Franchise All-Star
Teams"
This set
was created by utilizing a card representing the best season for each player
and mathematically projecting that player card performance in such a
league. These performance projections
were then verified by computer simulation.
From the statistics obtained, formulae were developed to
"adjust" the hitting and pitching stats. Then the cards were recalculated as a season set where each team
would play every other team the same number of games.
It is
important to note that these cards are not "normalized", but adjusted
to create a realistic league statistical outcome.
This
approach maintains the original statistical outcomes but redistributes
statistics so that the issues one finds in all-star leagues because of the APBA
game engine are mitigated. For instance,
there will not be a dearth of singles or an overabundance of extra-base hits.
806
player cards with all symbols necessary for both board game versions printed
directly on the cards. A roster sheet
is included, listing 31 players for each of the first 26 franchises in American
and National League history.
Skeetersoft, Inc.’s card sets are available exclusively from Skeetersoft,
