The 1986 card set contains 650 players, the 25 players most representative of each team during the season.

The 1986 "extra players" card set contains 303 players, compromising every player who played in the big leagues in 1986 and is not a part of the 25-man lineup in the regular card set.

In all, 953 player cards--every 1986 big league ball player -- all symbols necessary for both board game versions are printed directly on the cards. A roster sheet that lists the most frequently used 25 players for each team and representative lineups is included with the 1986 basic card set.
