Skeetersoft,
Inc. presents
the 1979 baseball season card set and computer disks.
1979 – "The Orioles are back, the
Bucs are here!"
1979 saw
the Orioles back in the playoffs and Series as they beat the Angels in the
Division playoffs.
The
Pirates took over for the Dodgers and took the Orioles in the Series. Clemente, Stargell and Madlock led the
Pirates. Despite a great pitching
staff, the Houstons couldn't keep up with Cincinnati, who won the NL West.
The
Pirates took the Series in seven games after being down 3-1.
The
1979 card set contains 650 players, the 25 players most representative of each
team during the season.
The
1979 "extra players" card set contains 249 players, compromising
every player who played in the big leagues in 1979 and is not a part of the
25-man lineup in the regular card set.
In
all, 899 player cards--every 1979 big league ball player -- all symbols
necessary for both board game versions are printed directly on the cards. A roster sheet that lists the most
frequently used 25 players for each team and representative lineups is included
with the 1978 basic card set.
Skeetersoft, Inc.’s card sets are available exclusively from Skeetersoft,
