Skeetersoft,
Inc. presents
the 1973 baseball season card set and computer disks.
1973 – "Hank Aaron, the DH, and the
A's"
Hank
Aaron ended the season one Home Run short of Babe Ruth. The Mets won the pennant with the lowest
winning percentage in baseball history and the fourth place team in the NL East
was only five games out. The Reds
prevailed over the Dodgers by 3 and a half games in the West.
The
American League saw the debut of the Designated Hitter, and hasn't looked
back. The Oakland A's took the West and
faced a very strong Orioles team in the playoffs.
The
Mets, as weak as they seemed to be, took the A's seven games in the Series
before succumbing.
The
1973 card set contains 600 players, the 25 players most representative of each
team during the season.
The 1973
"extra players" card set contains 221 players, compromising every
player who played in the big leagues in 1973 and is not a part of the 25-man
lineup in the regular card set.
In all,
821 player cards--every 1973 big league ball player -- all symbols necessary
for both board game versions are printed directly on the cards.
Skeetersoft, Inc.’s card sets are available exclusively from Skeetersoft,
