1971 – "More Orioles, but even more
Bucs"
The 1971
Orioles were a formidable team, a part of one of the strongest dynasties in
history. (1969-1971) Baltimore featured
a staff with four 20-game winners, and the hitting of a host of stars, to
include future Hall-of-Famers Brooks and Frank Robinson. They coasted to a win in the East and then
beat the rising Athletics in the playoffs.
The
Pirates, behind Clemente, Stargell, and a rather ordinary pitching staff, beat
the hurting Giants in the playoffs and then shocked the Orioles in the Series.
828
player cards--every 1971 Major Leaguer.
All symbols necessary for both board game versions are printed directly
on the cards. A roster sheet is
included listing the most frequently used 25 players for each team and
representative lineups.
Skeetersoft, Inc.’s card sets are available exclusively from Skeetersoft,
