1965 – "Not the Yankees"

The Minnesota Twins won the American League, signalling an end to a sixteen year stretch where the Yanks won 14 pennants.  In the National League, the Dodgers again prevailed due to their strong pitching and a opportunistic style of play.

In the series, the Dodgers won in 7 games.
