Tigers"
The
Cardinals finally succumbed to the player attrition of WWII, and the Cubs
filled the void. In the American
League, the Tigers, with much help from a late-season returning Greenberg, held
of the Nationals and the Browns.
The
military began to release many players, and players such as Greenberg and
Feller took up right where they left off.

on the cards. A roster sheet is
included listing the most frequently used 25 players for each team and
representative lineups.
