1943 – "Stan the Man and the
Cardinals, again"
Though
depleted of talent, the landscape of baseball remained the same. The Yankees and Cardinals both won for the
second consecutive year.
The
1943 Cardinals were the "middle child" of the early 40's Cardinal
Dynasty. This team took full advantage of a well-stocked farm system to
continue their dominance, led by Stan Musial, who won his first batting
championship.
In
the American League, the Yankees won by a comfortable margin, led by an
excellent pitching staff spearheaded by Spud Chandler.
In
the Series, the Yanks turned 1942 around and dethroned the cards.
519
player cards--every 1943 Major Leaguer.
All symbols necessary for both board game versions are printed directly
on the cards. A roster sheet is
included listing the most frequently used 25 players for each team and
representative lineups.
Skeetersoft, Inc.’s card sets are available exclusively from Skeetersoft,
