1941 – "The Splendid Splinter and the Yankee Clipper"

 

Ted Williams finished the season hitting .406.  Joe DiMaggio hit safely in 56 straight games. Neither of these achievements has been surpassed since.  The Yankees won the pennant and beat the Dodgers in the Series, but the pennant races took a back seat to the pair of slugging heroes who rattled the walls day-after-day.

546 player cards--every 1941 Major Leaguer.  All symbols necessary for both board game versions are printed directly on the cards.  A roster sheet is included listing the most frequently used 25 players for each team and representative lineups.
