1937 – "The Bronx Bombers once again ..."

The Yanks featured a slugging lineup led by Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig. Yankee pitching was led by 20 game winners Lefty Gomez and Red Ruffing.

The National League featured a race between the Giants and the Cubs ... which finally favored the Giants.

The World Series ended with no surprise, as the Yanks topped the Giants for the second year in a row.
