1932 – "The Babe "called
it", didn't he?"
The Yanks
cruised to a 13 game margin while the Cubs held on to outdistance the Pirates
by 4 after their Hall of Fame manager was fired in early August despite his
charges being in first place.
The
Yanks had four 100-rbi men and Lefty O'Doul led the NL with a .359 average.
This
was the Series of Babe Ruth's "called shot" against Charlie Root, a
homer which turned out to be the last homerun hit by Ruth in any Series.
491
player cards--every 1932 Major Leaguer.
All symbols necessary for both board game versions are printed directly
on the cards. A roster sheet is
included listing the most frequently used 25 players for each team and representative
lineups.
