There's not really too much to be said about 1927 - Babe Ruth and the Yankees. Ruth hit more home runs than any other team. Lou Gehrig hit 47 to Ruth's "unbreakable" record 60. Yankee Secondbaseman Tony Lazzeri hit 18 to finish third in the league behind his slugging teammates.

The Yanks Won 110 games and and beat a Pirate team featuring the HoF-bound Waner brothers and Pie Traynor in four straight games..
