1922 – "Giants and Yankees Again"

The Giants beat the Yanks in the Series once again but the real story was the rise of the home run.  The new, lively ball was now in both leagues and the trick pitches (like the spitter), were outlawed.  New heroes began to arise ... those that could hit the ball out of the park.  Babe Ruth, who was suspended for the early part of the season, actually finished second to Ken Williams of the surprising Browns in the home run race.
